This one was no joke. A tall five-drawer dresser with gold hardware, drawer slides, a lock mechanism, and a hardware list that stretched across multiple labeled bags - the kind of job that looks manageable until you're on step 26 of the instruction booklet and realize you're only halfway done.

We've done enough of these assemblies to know where things go sideways. The drawer slides have to go in level and in the right sequence, or the drawers bind. The cam locks need to seat fully, or the whole frame flexes. Getting it right means slowing down at the right moments, not rushing to the finish line.

That's really what furniture assembly comes down to - patience and sequence. You can't skip steps or come back to fix them later without taking things apart. We work through the instructions carefully, sort the hardware before a single screw goes in, and build it solid the first time.

The end result here was a clean, sturdy dresser with every drawer opening and closing smoothly. No wobble. No stripped hardware. Just a piece of furniture that's actually ready to use. That's the standard we hold every assembly to, no matter how many bags of screws are involved.
