Large-Scale Picture Hanging Done Right in St. George

Big walls are tricky. Too high, too low, slightly crooked - and suddenly a beautiful piece of art feels off in a way you can't quite explain. That's the challenge with larger homes. There's more wall space, more pieces to place, and a lot more room for things to go wrong.

This was a full home art installation, and we're talking room after room. Large framed canvas prints in entryways, hallways, and bedrooms. A nine-piece gallery grid in the dining area. Oversized paintings in a home office, bathrooms, and sitting nooks. Every single piece had to be level, centered, and proportional to its wall - no exceptions.

Getting picture hanging right at this scale isn't just about putting a nail in the wall. It's about reading the room. How high does this piece sit relative to the furniture below it? Does it feel anchored or like it's floating? Is the spacing between a gallery grid tight enough to feel intentional but loose enough to breathe? We think through all of that before anything goes up.

We use a level on every hang - no guessing, no eyeballing. The pieces range from tall vertical canvases in narrow hallways to wide horizontal prints above beds, and each one required a different approach to placement and hardware. When you've got a large home with this many pieces going up, consistency across every room is what makes the whole thing feel finished and intentional.
